Marcus Thames went deep and had 4 RBI as the seemingly unstoppable Jefferson
Park Penguins ballclub embarrassed the Burbank Tigers by the count of 15 to
1.

Thames helped send the fans home happy. He doubled which scored a run in the
1st inning, cracked a two-run shot (his 9th of the season) in the 3rd inning
and stroked a one-base hit bringing in a run in the 5th inning. Jefferson
Park provided plenty of action in the 3rd inning which saw them plate 8 runs
on 8 hits and the 5th inning with 4 runs on 4 hits. Overall Jefferson Park
out-hit Burbank 20 to 3.

The victory was credited to Brandon Webb(8-3) who went 6 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 1 run. Scott Elarton(1-9) was given the loss. He served up 4 gopher
balls in 2 and 2/3 innings.

For Jefferson Park, the victory kept their winning streak on the march.
